"It was a great result for us today. We knew that Ferrari would be very quick here but we made some good progress with the car overnight and Max did a fantastic job in both qualifying and the race. He got a great start and controlled the pace of the race from the front. It's a good way to start the weekend and we're now looking forward to the main race tomorrow."

"We're disappointed with the result today but we know that we have a quick car and we'll be back fighting tomorrow. We didn't have the pace to match Red Bull today but we're confident that we can make some improvements overnight and challenge for the win.
